Texas Hippie Coalition – “Monster In Me”: Hard Rock Daddy Review

Texas Hippie Coalition Monster In Me

Texas Hippie Coalition has just released their fourth studio album entitled Ride On, and the first single off of the album, “Monster In Me,” is already starting to gain traction on SiriusXM’s Octane.

As the saying goes…“everything is bigger in Texas.”  The band’s physically imposing frontman, Big Dad Ritch, is living proof that the saying is more than just hyperbole.

THC is far from your average hard rock outfit.  In fact, the Denison, TX quartet has coined the term “Red Dirt Metal” to describe their unique brand of rock.  Big Dad Ritch explains that their sound “is like Lynyrd Skynyrd and ZZ Top had a child, and Pantera ended up raising it.”

“Monster In Me” is a cool, gritty track with a groove that is tailor-made for “dancers” to showcase their moves on poles across America.  THC may not be a household name yet, but if “Monster In Me” gets the attention that it deserves on Active Rock radio and in “gentlemen’s clubs,” hard rock fans around the world will joining the “Red Dirt Metal” movement.

Check out the lyric video for “Monster In Me” below, and stay tuned for a full album review of Ride On in the near future…
